Seeing and Acknowledging
"So long as we accept the material evidence, whether willingly or unwillingly, we fail to see the spiritual evidence, which to the spiritual sense is never absent, namely, God expressed in His idea, man, in His own image and likeness."

Enduring to the End
"Every worker should be encouraged to continue unto the end in his work. When Elisha's life work was nearly done, the king of Israel came to visit him, and well did he apostrophize the prophet as 'the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof,' for Elisha's sense of Principle had been the great protection to the kingdom."

Soldiers of Liberty
"To accomplish his holy mission each soldier in the army of the Lord must be hourly faithful to his spiritual guard duty. Hundreds of times a day he must challenge such mental enemies as belief in material selfhood, fear of evil, love of ease."

Injuries Healede
"I was run over by a truck, and error tried to tell me that I was going to die."

Severe Injuries Healed
"I realize that it was only by a 'closer walk with God' that Mrs. Eddy was able to bring to darkened, suffering humanity this wonderful spiritual and physical healing — the Christ-cure with its benign influence which is ever ready waiting for 'whosoever will.'"

This new publication is a compilation of excerpts from The Christian Science Standard, authored and edited by Stanley C. Larkin, focusing on the second appearing of Christ, the understanding of which is essential to the preservation of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy, and to the salvation of mankind.

Mary Baker Eddy's
Class Teaching

In Volume 4 we read,
"How do drugs and hygiene and animal magnetism heal? They don't heal. It is only the faith in them which brings about a result

which they call healing. In reality they only exchange a belief in disease for another belief called health. Materia medica classifies health as the absence of disease from the body. Mrs. Eddy tells us that 'Health is the consciousness of the unreality of pain and disease; or, rather, the absolute consciousness of harmony and of nothing else.' (Rud. 11:13-15)"

The Christian Science
Standard, Vol. 20, No. 1

"the perfecting of man stated scientifically" Everyone has to be "perfected," - ascended out of materiality, out of personality and personal sense, - in order to reach

heaven. It cannot be that they "perish," - reach heaven by dying out of matter. They have to be perfected out of it. This is a scientific statement of the perfecting of man.

Science and Health
with Key to the Scriptures

As a material, theoretical life-basis is found to be a misapprehension of existence, the spiritual and divine Principle of man dawns upon human thought, and leads it to "where the young child was," — even to the birth of a new-old idea, to the spiritual sense of being and of what Life includes. Thus the whole earth will be transformed by Truth on its pinions of light, chasing away the darkness of error."

About Mary Baker Eddy

"Whatever may be the prevailing opinion as to the tenets of her faith and its lasting benefit to the great cause of religion,

none can deny that Mrs. Eddy was a remarkable personality, one of the great characters which stand out in bold relief in the history of the nineteenth century in spiritual affairs."
