Uplifting, Healing, Transfiguring

The Day of the Lord
"he day of the Lord is the day of Life, — aye, 'life eternal,' — the day in which God is known."

Quick and Powerful
"Too much cannot be said respecting Mrs. Eddy’s sublime courage in standing by her discovery that divine power is the only power, and she did not hesitate to say that 'to acknowledge any other power is to dishonor God' (Science and Health, p. 228)."

"Thy will be done"
" As a man lets God's will be done in his experience, he escapes from the seeming rule of evil, and comes into the conscious realization of the power of divine Principle to protect and deliver."

Quick Healing
"In the spring of 1900 I visited a friend in New Jersey, and while there was seized with an acute pain, due to a growth in the breast which had for two years caused me much suffering and inconvenience, as I was at times unable to use my arm."

"Before Christian Science found me I was unhappy and miserable. My trouble was not so much physical as mental, although heart disease had been growing worse for several years, and I felt my end drawing nearer from day to day."

"Christian Unity"
From Christ and Christmas
by Mary Baker Eddy

"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour."

Isaiah 43:2,3

The Second Appearing of Christ

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." Rev. 19:7

This new publication is a compilation of excerpts from The Christian Science Standard, authored and edited by Stanley C. Larkin, focusing on the second appearing of Christ, the understanding of which is essential to the preservation of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy, and to the salvation of mankind.

Mary Baker Eddy's
Class Teaching

In Volume 4 we read,
"How do drugs and hygiene and animal magnetism heal? They don't heal. It is only the faith in them which brings about a result

which they call healing. In reality they only exchange a belief in disease for another belief called health. Materia medica classifies health as the absence of disease from the body. Mrs. Eddy tells us that 'Health is the consciousness of the unreality of pain and disease; or, rather, the absolute consciousness of harmony and of nothing else.' (Rud. 11:13-15)"

The Christian Science
Standard, Vol. 20, No. 1

"the perfecting of man stated scientifically" Everyone has to be "perfected," - ascended out of materiality, out of personality and personal sense, - in order to reach

heaven. It cannot be that they "perish," - reach heaven by dying out of matter. They have to be perfected out of it. This is a scientific statement of the perfecting of man.

Science and Health
with Key to the Scriptures

As a material, theoretical life-basis is found to be a misapprehension of existence, the spiritual and divine Principle of man dawns upon human thought, and leads it to "where the young child was," — even to the birth of a new-old idea, to the spiritual sense of being and of what Life includes. Thus the whole earth will be transformed by Truth on its pinions of light, chasing away the darkness of error."

About Mary Baker Eddy

"Whatever may be the prevailing opinion as to the tenets of her faith and its lasting benefit to the great cause of religion,

none can deny that Mrs. Eddy was a remarkable personality, one of the great characters which stand out in bold relief in the history of the nineteenth century in spiritual affairs."
